Losing your home to a fire is overwhelming. Rebuilding it shouldn't add more uncertainty.
JD West Homes has experience rebuilding homes after fire loss and understands the unique decisions and challenges that come with the process. We'll help you understand what comes next and guide you through your rebuild from the first conversation to the day you come home.
We start by meeting with you to talk about your property, your needs, your budget, and what you want your new home to look like. If you’re rebuilding after a fire, we’ll also discuss what was there before and whether you’d like to rebuild something similar or make changes while you have the opportunity.
Together, we work through the design of the home plans, specifications, estimated costs, and the details needed to move the project forward. For fire rebuilds, there may also be insurance documentation and questions that come up along the way. We help make the construction side of that process easier to understand and provide the information needed for your rebuild.
Before construction begins, plans are finalized and the necessary permits and approvals are obtained. We coordinate the details so everything is ready before work begins on your new home. We’ll also meet with you for a color-pick meeting to make your selections.
Once everything is in place, construction gets underway. The process typically moves from site work and foundation to framing, roofing, windows, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, insulation and drywall, followed by cabinets, flooring, trim, paint, fixtures, and all of the finishing details that make the house feel like home.
Building a home involves a lot of moving pieces and decisions. We believe homeowners should know what is happening with their project, what comes next, and when decisions need to be made. We stay in communication throughout the build and are available to answer questions along the way.
As construction wraps up, we complete the finishing details and walk through the home with you. Our goal isn’t simply to finish a construction project; it’s to hand you the keys to a home you can settle back into and begin making memories in again.
